  • Verify Nitrous failsafe is working properly
  • Verify accuracy of both Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen gas being delivered to your patients
  • Verify all safety features are working properly (emergency air intake, rebreather valve)
  • Checking that the scavenger system is working properly
  • Check breathing circuit and bag for leaks
  • Written documentation of test results
  • Follow ADA and Manufacturer guidelines for maintaining Nitrous Oxide equipment
  • In office certification of test, don’t send a flowmeter to manufacturer and be without for weeks at a time
  • Be proactive in the safety checks of your nitrous equipment
